Welcome to Bamboo Texas! Bambootexas.com is an online nursery offering small bamboos shipped nationwide. We are a small, father and son growing operation on our own private properties. Our love for the fastest growing woody plant on earth has led us to be very avid bamboo enthusiasts for over 15 years; collecting, planting, and propagating rare bamboos. We have met many wonderful people all over the world that share our enthusiasm for bamboo and hope to bring some to you as well!

The sympodial (or subtropical clumping) species have recently drawn our focus in the last several years as we have begun to grow very rare and newly introduced varieties. As we plant and experiment with propagation, these varities will be available as we produce them.

Our bamboo activities spawn well beyond our internet nursery. We container grow huge specimen plants for landscaping purposes. We offer consulting with industrial uses of bamboo including phytoremediation, and are working with partners to make large scale plantation use of bamboo a reality in Texas. This includes: shoot production, biomass material, production of ethanol, and a source to produce paper, ect.

Something is very special about bamboo, its large poles and graceful leaves seem to relax the mind and spirit and provide mankind with one of the most versatile resources on earth. Discover your own relationship with this natural wonder, we hope you find it as special as we do!
